What is Laser Art? My Laser Art series of prints were created using laser beams, either reflected off of metal grates, or hand drawn using a mirror, onto a large projector screen in total darkness. I then photographed these images with an extended exposure. And in some cases I photographed objects lit entirely with laser light in total darkness. I then arranged these images in digital format to create abstracts or possibly recognizable images. When you see the laser effects in red tones, these are the actual colours as photographed. In cases where the laser effects overlap, the effects were naturally occurring in the digital format I used. In some cases I changed the hue of the laser effects to get the blues and greens. But in all cases I did not alter the shape of the laser effects in any way other than size or perspective.
